Wat ook een pluspunt was, was dat er geen parkeergeld gerekend werd.
Enige minpuntje misschien voor anderen (voor ons maakte het niet uit), is dat het iets langer duurde dan van tevoren ingeschat. (3 weken i.p.v. 2). TL;DR: you get what you pay for.
Danny was very friendly throughout the process, but is not the fastest communicator. Additionally, the language barrier (my Dutch is terrible) added a layer of occasional unclarity. His quote came in at 1/4 of the highest quite (which was stupidly expensive) and still about 2.000€ below the other quotes. Being at the end of a lengthy reno vation, we went with Danny and his team.
The ensuing process was everything but smooth. His team cut corners in the prep work (knowingly or unknowingly) which started to show in the final result. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is poor and when we happened to be around the house we occasionally had to point out hasty mistakes or sloppy finishing in corners and around ceiling spotlights. The pace at which his team was moving was excruciatingly slow and my contractor overseeing the other parts of the building works pointed out some rather unusual methods when sanding and painting: leaning freshly painted doors to dry against a freshly painted wall; painting over locks; painting over newly installed ceiling spots; just to name a few. So after finishing, Danny and his team had to come back a few times to correct mistakes — and even then we had to tell them how to do it properly (like using the right hue of white…)
The biggest annoyance, bringing it back to the start, is the poor prep work that now shows in long cracks along the corners between walls and ceilings.
Long story short: with Danny and his team you get what you pay for. The quality matches the price. So if you have a small budget and equally small expectations…he might be your guy. … – show
